Model 49-46-10 Constellation 43-10313

This Constellation was built for USAAF and delivered 25 January 1945 Stored Burbank prior delivery and painted in full TWA colors with 'Transcontinental Line' titles but with USAF serial numbers. Registered NC90827 to Service Airways Inc.. To RX-123 for Lineas Aereas de Panama SA. but never operated as such. Projected sales to Capital Airlines fell through and finally delivered to EL AL as 4X-AKA. Converted to Model 149 and referred to El Al as 249. Sale to Switzerland as HB-IEA (registered 24 February 1959) but not taken up. Stored at Tel Aviv from fall 1961 until sold to Universal Sky Tours in February 1962 and in service in Euravia livery until repainted in Skyways of London colors in November 1962.

Operated mainly on the Skyways' schedule between Luton and Malta. Again repainted in Euravia colors and in service until May 1965.

Scrapped Luton between June and December 1965, TT: 24'231 hrs.
