Planned for TWA as NC86534 but order cancelled. Then allocated for Air Ceylon, modified to 749-79-32 for Aerlinte as EI-ACR 'Saint Brendan' and delivered 26 August 1947. Stored from February 1948 until sale to BOAC as G-ALAK 'Brentford'. In service 8 December 1948. Converted to 749A and modified to 60-Seater Tourist Class. Last service with BOAC 14 September 1957 and leased to Skyways June 1959 and fitted with rear cargo door by BOAC at Heathrow during early 1960. Sold to Skyways 22 June 1962. Repainted in Euravia colors in May 1963. Sold to Ace Freighters with official delivery date mentioned 14 September 1965.

After bankruptcy of Ace in September 1966 sold by tender first to unknown buyer with the registration N1489, however never applied. Later sold to Aerolineas Uruguayas as CX-BHD, but also this sale fell through in January 1968. Painted as CP-797 for Trans-Bolivian and delivered via Shannon to Miami, FL 15 January 1968. Stored at MIA and sold to Copisa in July 1968 as OB-R-899 (c/n plate was transferred to c/n 2549, in return for the plate of c/n 2549). Used until Copisa ceased operations around end of 1971.
