Soli Transocean

A company of unknown nationality, but eventually American-owned, had its name displayed on the roof of a Lockheed Super Constellation aircraft, identified as N9642Z, stored at Luqa, Malta, in January 1966.

The Super Connie was to be leased to Cyprus Airways in January 1966. Cyprus resumed operations on 1 November 1965, after BEA had flown all services for the carrier since 1958. Still, although registration 5B-CAJ 'Archbishop Makarios III' was allocated, it is believed the aircraft was painted in Cyprus Airways colors. The lease was not taken up, and Viscounts operated instead.

As planned operations did not materialize, the Super Constellation was flown to the USA for delivery to California Airmotive in January 1967.
